Bakir Floyd and Writrz Block Seek To Create a Lasting Family Legacy

The Writer Block was created by father-son duo James and Bakir Floyd.

As the Writrz Block brand continues to develop, so has the personal and musical developed of Bakir. Inspired by his father’s drive and ability, Bakir always displayed the innate desire to pursue music. He began mimicking his father’s musical path and learned how to sing, rap and dance. Tragedy struck the Floyd household when James Floyd was arrested, facing the next decade in prison. While James was away at prison, Bakir and this father would talk daily and their connection grew even stronger over time. Bakir was able to graduate from Villanova University on a academic scholarship, but music remained his passion throughout it all! These days, Bakir has a bubbling music career and has his mind set on creating a legacy for his family.

In addition to the work that Writrz Block is doing for musicians all around the world, they are also releasing their own music in-house. Their latest single, ‘One More Night’ features a nostalgic instrumental, smooth melodies, an infectious hook and will leave you feeling great about the decisions you are about to make tonight.
